North Korea is accusing U.S. officials of "mugging" their diplomats at JFK Airport. According to North Korean state media, the diplomats were returning from a UN conference on Friday when they were stopped and had a package confiscated. The Department Of Homeland Security told NBC 4 New York that the three individuals in question are not credentialed members of North Korea's U.N. mission and therefore not entitled to diplomatic immunity.
They apparently took multiple media items and packages during their time at the UN. All three of the North Korean citizens were released, but refused to board their flight without their seized items.
